Gables tea party raises hens, money for the poor (Miami Herald)

It was a dainty affair -- an English tea party -- to buy cows, pigs, hens and other farm animals for the world's poor. The Coco Plum Woman's Club of Coral Gables poured tea to benefit Heifer International, a nonprofit group that helps the needy help themselves with buying them livestock and other essentials to provide a living in the world's rural areas.... read more
